ABOUT US
Who we are and why we do what we do
“We believe each human is a cosmic dancer,
with a unique gift: the body.
Regardless of age, background, or ability, we all possess the artistry to access the transformative power of movement.”
— Julia Robert & Rudi Cole,
HUMANHOOD Founders

Our Vision
Dance is not something reserved for a special few, dance in its purest form is MOVEMENT. If you are breathing, you are dancing.
We are on a mission to bring the power of movement to communities worldwide, to anyone seeking a deeper connection with their body, soul and spirit.
Only through a sincere connection with oneself we can extend our presence to others; the collective as a union of empowered and awakened individuals.
People in our community are moving beyond the common momentum, together we practice becoming continuously aware of the quality of our existence, so we can consciously expand its beauty to impact not only our life but also that of others around us. And, one at a time, we transform as humanhood.
— Julia & Rudi
The Research
Julia & Rudi perceive and experience the body as a sacred portal — a living bridge between the physical and the spiritual, animated by the breath of life itself.
Their lifelong curiosity about what moves us, what sustains us, and what makes us truly alive has carried them across the world — from the mountains of Ecuador to the wetlands of India, the highlands of Papua New Guinea, and the island of Taiwan, among others. Along the way, they have sought wisdom from hermits, shamans, and indigenous elders, exploring the essence of what it means to be human.
Their path has also intertwined with science — collaborating with researchers and physicists, including the NASA Kepler Mission’s leader in asteroseismology (the study of stars). Through this meeting of movement and science, they continue to explore how rhythm, vibration, and consciousness connect all forms of life.
Ultimately, their journey has become an offering — an ever-deepening exploration of a reality far greater than themselves. It is a return to the source of life, to the invisible presence that breathes through all things — a mystery both intimate and infinite

The Movement Philosophy
HUMANHOOD’s method is an entirely new paradigm of somatic movement designed to deepen one’s connection with one’s own body and energy.
Inspired by Julia and Rudi’s over 20 years experience as world-class dancers and choreographers, HUMANHOOD’s method was initially originated as a practice to help professional dancers connect to the spiritual essence behind their dance.
Far deeper than just a choreographed set of moves, the practice follows a channeled sequence that submerges participants into trans-like states, where dance becomes the catalyst for connection. Here, in this expansive space beyond logic, we bypass the noise of the mind and tap into a profound state of flow.
HUMANHOOD practice is an invitation to embrace the language of the body, to go beyond restless thinking, and to immerse ourselves in the transformative power of movement, opening up to the un-known in ourselves and in our life.
Side effects of the Practice:
Increased Energy Levels
Released Emotions and Physical Pain
Strength, Coordination, Stamina and Flexibility
Heighten Awareness and Focus
Connection and a sense of Wholeness
“The mystical couple… Julia & Rudi restore people to their original stuff, their original beingness… whether it is through dance, whether it is through words, whether it is through the radical beauty they both share together and individually.”
Jean Houston, Ph.D., philosopher and researcher in Human Capacities, advisor at the UN and Best Selling Author.
